Developing Youth Athletes at Every Stage

At Saltus, we know that greatness is built step-by-step, and every stage of development requires a unique approach. Our youth high-performance programs are designed to meet athletes where they are, physically, mentally, and emotionally, while preparing them for the demands of higher-level sport, including scholarship opportunities.

Learn to Train (Girls 8–11, Boys 9–12)

This is the stage where athletic potential truly begins to take shape. Athletes move beyond unstructured play and develop essential movement skills, including running, jumping, throwing, balance, agility, and coordination. At Saltus, we ensure that athletes build physical literacy in a fun yet structured environment, providing them with a foundation to progress into more demanding training safely.

Train to Train (Girls 11–15, Boys 12–16)

In this stage, athletes begin structured and progressive training. The focus shifts toward building an aerobic base, developing strength, and refining speed and movement mechanics. Saltus emphasizes safe, age-appropriate strength and conditioning while supporting sport-specific development. This prepares athletes for higher levels of competition and creates measurable improvements in performance.

Train to Compete (Girls 15–21, Boys 16–23)

Here, athletes are ready for performance-driven training. We emphasize advanced strength, power, and sport-specific programming designed to maximize output in competition. Regular performance testing tracks progress and identifies areas for refinement. Saltus prepares athletes for the rigours of showcases, tournaments, and competitive pathways.

Train to Win (Girls 18+, Boys 19+)

At this stage, athletes train and perform at the highest level. The focus is on optimizing every aspect of performance, such as strength, speed, endurance, recovery, and mental resilience. Saltus provides collegiate- and professional-style training environments to help athletes achieve recruitment success, gain a competitive edge, and sustain peak performance at the elite level.

How Do I Get Started?

Step 1: Book High Performance Testing

High-Performance Athletic testing is essential to an athlete’s success at Saltus Performance. Regular monitoring of physical fitness and sport-specific performance is crucial increasing the likelihood success in competition.

Step 2: Build Your Training Plan

We’ll discuss and determine the best training plan for your goals and budget. Once you set your goals, we build a training routine and work on executing our strategy.

STEP 3: Monitor and Make Corrections

As our training sessions continue, we monitor and will improve your form and execution. Continue to grow and perform at your best.
